How do I find my Time Lord for the year?
Your Time Lord / Time Lady for the year is based on what astrologers call Annual Profections. It is one of the traditional timing techniques astrologers use to determine whether the year ahead will be easy, challenging, or both. Starting at birth (age 0), each sign of the chart receives an entire year of focus, with greater emphasis on that area of life.
Astrology Planners and Applications
An astrological calendar, app, or planner is a tool that I could not live without. It is just as important to me as my tarot deck. One of the first things I recommend to my ritual clients is observing the movement of the planets in the sky. Depending on their experience level, this is as simple as tracking the moon or as detailed as a personalized ephemeris.
This share is about the different calendars, journals, and digital tools that will help you not only track the spirits of the sky but also assist you in learning astrology if that interests you. There are various options, everything from free tools to subscription-based apps, and I’ve personally worked with all of these. If you have a favorite calendar or app, please let me know in the comments. I’d love to check it out.
What does it mean when planets retrograde?
Because of our perspective, we see planets periodically appear to move backward in the sky because of their orbit around the Sun and how it interacts with the orbit of Earth, and we call this retrograde motion. This creates approximately three passes, or transits, across several degrees in any one sign. Let’s look at our opportunities during retrograde so you’ll know how to approach or work with it.
Astrology Basics: How to get a free copy of birth or natal chart
Your birth chart is based on the position of the visible and nonvisble planets at the time of your birth. It’s a snapshot of the cosmic energy at play. It can help give you a sense of your core values, personality tendencies, strengths and weaknesses, and how you might experience specific life situations and possible ways for dealing with them effectively.
Understanding what supports your healing
As cycle-breakers, we choose what nourishes and feels good on our healing journey. And it does not need to make sense to anyone else. How one processes their experiences and makes meaning from them will vary from person to person.
There isn't just one correct way to heal, be, feel, or process.
Saturn in Pisces: the Sanctification of Pleasure
Between now and when Saturn stations retrograde on June 17th, the majority of the aspects from other planets are sextiles (60°) and trines (120°). These aspects are under the domain of both benefics, Venus (sextile) and Jupiter (trine). This means we may expect ease, flow, harmony, connection and growth. And with Saturn floating in the sign of Pisces this gives plenty of opportunity to sanctify our pleasure.
Venus in Pisces 2023 Horoscopes
Today at 6:33 pm pacific time, Venus, the planet of love and connection, enters the dreamy sign of Pisces, where its beauty, harmony, and charm are heightened and enhanced through the generous, compassionate, kind eyes of the universal healer. Venus is only here for a short period before moving into fiery Aries on February 19th at 11:55pm pacific time, so we only have a little over three weeks with this beauty in all her glory during the season that celebrates the rebels and edge walkers, so folks, let's enjoy it, shall we?
Reasons to work with an astrologer
You probably know your sun sign and have read your horoscope repeatedly. You may even know what astrologers call your “Big Three” in astrology, which consists of your sun sign, moon sign, and rising sign or ascendant. But have you ever wondered what working with an astrologer can do for you?
Life After the 8th House
The eighth house in astrology is complex, and there is no way around that. Historically it was called the Idle House and represented death and monetary gain via inheritance. In the 19th century, sex and mental health were added into the mix. Simply put, it contains everything we don’t want to acknowledge or admit, let alone talk openly about. Think of subject matter that is secret, stigmatized, and/or taboo and you’ve got it. But we all experience it at some point, whether by personal planets placed there in our birth charts or by periodic planetary transits through our eighth house.
