Understanding what supports your healing
As cycle-breakers, we choose what nourishes and feels good on our healing journey. And it does not need to make sense to anyone else. How one processes their experiences and makes meaning from them will vary from person to person.
There isn't just one correct way to heal, be, feel, or process.
Identifying this pattern and how it works for you is beneficial as it can show you areas where you tend to get stuck. The challenge can be knowing where to start, especially if you've been in a well-established cycle, like people-pleasing or ignoring your own needs by focusing on others.
Your astrological chart can help. In the natal chart, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars, by sign, by house, and by modality, are how we relate to the world. Together, it shows how we attract, connect, protect, and process, among other things.
So what does this look like in action? My particular combination of Mercury, Venus, and Mars means I enjoy thoroughly exploring ideas related to the meaning of my life. While my mental processes may be fast in taking in the thoughts, I like to completely "wear them out" before I've made up my mind. This means thinking about it, sharing insights or ideas, and contemplating all outcomes. And I also leave room for it to change as time goes by. I love seeking out my truth and am constantly exploring in this way.
This means I need time to process. And while I must remain present in the body and feel my feelings, intellectualizing these experiences is also a gift as it helps to shape my future decisions. I need mental and intellectual nourishment as part of my healing journey. Knowing this takes the pressure off and assists me in finding "what and who is for me."
